The Children’s Aid
Society of Halifax
Foundation
was formed in 1997
as the fund raising
arm of the
Children’s Aid
Society of Halifax.
The Foundation was
formed for the
purposes of raising
funds and obtaining
grants for projects
which would support
those needs of
children, youth and
their families which
lay outside the
scope of funded
mandated services.
The Children’s Aid
Society of Halifax
Foundation is
committed to
supporting programs
and activities
designed to improve
the lives of
children who are at
risk of abuse, or
have been abused or
neglected. The
programs and
activities may be
included in one or
all of the following
areas:
Prevention,
Enrichment,
Education, Research
and Development.
The Foundation
provides grants to
the Children’s Aid
Society of Halifax,
and to community
based groups located
in Halifax in
partnership with the
Children’s Aid
Society of Halifax.
The Foundation also
makes grants
available to
children in care or
formerly in care
from other parts of
the province.
The Children's Aid
Society of Halifax
Foundation, In
partnership with the
Children's Aid
Foundation in
Toronto, provides
grants for children
and families around
the region provided
from three national
funds which the
Children's Aid
Foundation
administers.: Eagle
Professionals, World
Markets Children's
Miracle Fund, and
the Scotia Capital
Stay in School Fund.
