WHO ARE WE and WHAT DO WE DO?

The Children’s Aid Society of Halifax Foundation was formed in 1997 as the fund raising arm of the Children’s Aid Society of Halifax.  The Foundation was formed for the purposes of raising funds and obtaining grants for projects which would support those needs of children, youth and their families which lay outside the scope of funded mandated services.

The Children’s Aid Society of Halifax Foundation is committed to supporting programs and activities designed to improve the lives of children who are at risk of abuse, or have been abused or neglected. The programs and activities may be included in one or all of the following areas:

Prevention, Enrichment, Education, Research and Development.

The Foundation provides grants to the Children’s Aid Society of Halifax, and to community based groups located in Halifax in partnership with the Children’s Aid Society of Halifax. The Foundation also makes grants available to children in care or formerly in care from other parts of the province.

The Children's Aid Society of Halifax Foundation, In partnership with the Children's Aid Foundation in Toronto, provides grants for children and families around the region provided from three national funds which the Children's Aid Foundation administers.: Eagle Professionals, World Markets Children's Miracle Fund, and the Scotia Capital Stay in School Fund.
