Volunteers enrich the lives of children in so many ways. The Volunteer Program at the Children's Aid Society provides valuable programs like Study Buddies and Big Buddies for kids in care, providing mentoring and tutoring.

Last year 69 volunteers provided 2,096 hours of services to children.

Our Volunteer Director coordinates, recruits, screens and trains volunteers to have a positive impact on children in care.

The Volunteer Program provides many services, including:

• Study Buddy Program: tutoring for children, teaching literacy skills to parents and children

• Big Buddy Program: provides a positive role model for children in care through the big buddy/friend program. 

• Fun activities and special events for children in care

• Volunteer Recognition events
